Leonard Cohen on Hydra - Songs of Leonard Cohen

A show featuring Cohen's songs and poems

Welcome friends.

Through stories and songs this show tells of Leonard Cohen's arrival and time on the Greek island of Hydra in 1960s.

Through words and songs this show tells the story of Leonard Cohen's arrival on the Greek island of Hydra in March of 1960 as an unknown poet.

The show tells of Cohen's life and friendship with the charismatic Australian writers George Johnston and Charmian Clift who also lived on Hydra and the bohemian community of artists and writers who frequented the island.

The show has 15 Leonard Cohen songs and runs for 1 hour and 30 minutes with no intermission.

The show can be performed in Concert spaces or Wineries and Art Galleries but can also be performed in larger private homes as a private function.

The first performance was at Willow Creek Vineyard, Merricks North in August of 2013 under the auspices of the Peninsula Summer Music Festival at a special sold out event.
